"Convenient Location, Inconsistent Service"

My stay at Steigenberger Airport Hotel Frankfurt was mixed. There were several things I appreciated, particularly the self-service check-in and check-out process, which made arrival and departure quick and convenient after a long day of travel. I would also like to recognize two employees who made a positive impression during my stay. The first was an older gentleman working outside near the entrance, who I believe may have been a bell attendant. He directed me to the self-parking area and later took the time to ask whether I had been able to find a parking space. It was a simple gesture, but the fact that he remembered and followed up demonstrated genuine care for the guest experience. I would also like to recognize a younger gentleman front desk employee with braids. When I asked about the airport shuttle, he took the time to thoroughly explain the process and even shared additional details about the hotel and its services. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, and I greatly appreciated our interaction. Unfortunately, there were also a few service issues that negatively impacted my stay. At around 10:13 AM, a housekeeper knocked on my door and entered shortly afterward before I had a chance to respond. I was still in the room organizing my luggage with music playing and did not hear the knock in time. Considering checkout is at 12:00 PM, I was surprised by the interaction that followed. Rather than apologizing, the employee told me that I should have placed a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. When I asked why, he appeared rushed, placed a DND sign on my door handle, and walked away without further explanation. I was also disappointed by the communication surrounding the Sleep & Dine package. Before ordering dinner around 6:54pm, I called the front desk and spoke with a female employee to confirm whether the dining voucher could be used for room service. I was told that it should not be a problem. However, when I contacted room service, I was informed that the voucher could only be used in the restaurant downstairs. Since I was already tired from traveling, I ended up paying out of pocket for room service and was unable to use a benefit that was one of the main reasons I booked that rate. Had I been given accurate information from the beginning, I would have planned my evening differently and made use of the package I paid for. As a Manager on Duty in hotel operations, I understand that mistakes happen and that hospitality can be fast-paced. My role is centered around guest experience, service recovery, and ensuring guests receive accurate information and feel valued throughout their stay. Because of that, I may notice details that other travelers overlook. While I can appreciate the challenges hotel teams face, I also believe guest privacy, clear communication, and product knowledge are fundamental expectations. The property itself was comfortable and conveniently located, and I did appreciate a few factors. However, the combination of the housekeeping interaction and the misinformation regarding the Sleep & Dine package left me disappointed. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not plan to stay at this property again.

Hotel spacieux et confortable. Restaurant proposant tous types de plats.

La piscine a été fermée durant noþe sejour.. Le sauna est en nu intégral à partager avec des inconnus. Nous n'en avons donc pas profité.

Die Klimaanlage hat gepfiffen, so dass wir sie ausstellen mussten um schlafen zu können. Luft war sehr schlecht, schlafen war schwierig! Da wir nur zum kurzfristigen Übernachten gekommen sind, war das keine gute Option.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber!!!!

Bei einchecken des Personals an der Rezeption sehr oberflächlich arrogant bei dieser Arroganz, die am Tag gelegt haben, habe ich erwartet, dass das Hotel exzellent ist und dementsprechend eingerichtet aber erst mal zu den Betten Die waren total durch gelegen nach vorherigen, rage, ob sie ein festeres Kissen hatten. Bevor ich angereist bin, wurde kein Statement abgegeben. An der Rezeption dann noch mal gefragt dann wurde es verneint, dass sie keinen Zettel ich bin sehr viel unterwegs und reise sehr viel und ich muss sagen, die könnten sich von Maritim in Düsseldorf eine Scheibe abschneiden. Und das die Kreditkarte dann mit 250 € autorisiert wird anstatt den Preis, den man gebucht hat, weil man ja vielleicht was essen möchte oder trinken möchte, dass das Hotel das dann für einen entscheidet und nicht die Person selber die das Zimmer bucht. Ansonsten das Frühstück war Standard Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war in Ordnung Ich höre es nicht mehr buchen die Zimmer sind auch zu dunkel Wohlfühleffekt für mich persönlich nicht gehabt, aber mit dem Shuttle zum Flughafen war angenehm. Ansonsten durchschnittlich 2-3 Sterne.

Das Frühstück war hervorragend, die Betten einfach traumhaft.. Sehr angetan war ich vom Shuttle-Service vom und zum Flughafen.

Ich habe nichts auszusetzen, würde das Steigenberger jederzeit wieder buchen.
