"not worth the price"

Was probably a great hotel 20-30 years ago. Since then, it seems nothing has been done (except for the gym/spa area). Shower with little pressure, dripping the whole day and night, bathroom in need of repair, refurbishment. Although a non-smoking room, you could still smell the smoke since in Jordan it seems that almost all men smoke and smoking is permitted almost everywhere. The room was just not worth the price.

"a dormant shining star"

Had the opportunity to stay at this 5-star hotel in Amman, as my other choices were already full. Regency have a the famous Trader Vic's restaurant in the basement which have great drinks and good food. Hotel staff is friendly as always in Jordan (except occasional lack of English which is standard). The breakfast buffe ok. The room design are spacious and carries a old style design. However, the rooms are very worn and they really need to do a complete makeover of them! The gym on the top is great with nice view and good machines. With that said, I'll never get back to this dormant 5-star hotel, due to the bad quality of the rooms it's more of a 2-3 star.

Noisy A/C, crowded entrance in the city center, people smoke in the lobby, overall to me its a 3 star hotel not even near 5

"A positive cretique."

First night I was given a room facing aft. I looked down i saw a distinked lake with green water and bad smell. I asked to be moved to a front facing room, but I was gviven a room facing south and smell smooky. Booth rooms too small for two adults and two childrens. The nigntly rate for the additional guest was too high.

"Dont even try it"

This hotel should be rated below 3 stars level, i dont see any singel positive factor for any one to stay in such old hotel while for the same rate you can stay in number of other nice hotels in Amman.

"very friendly staff especially"

very friendly staff especially the concierges who went out of their way to help including the drivers. Would definitely stay here again if I were to return to Amman
