The Nautical Beachfront Resort

Rooms were nice and the view was amazing would highly recommend to stay here but because of how poor our server (belinda) was I do not see myself staying here again in the near future

I am attaching a photo of the filthy bathtub that was in our room. We told the person who brought us a new coffee maker (the first one didn’t work), but housekeeping did not come to clean the tub. This wasn’t a week’s worth of grime. This made us question the cleanliness of not only the room, but also the other areas of the resort. I would never stay here again. Note that the desk clerk had me send a copy of the photo to management. We haven’t heard from them, so I guess they are OK with the state of their bathrooms.

I was pleasantly surprised by our stay. We booked last minute in January and were able to get joining rooms that made our stay with 6 kids very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms have two ac/heating units, microwaves and mini fridge which is a plus! The shower was unusual as it had no tub, but the soap smells amazing and the towels are soft. I appreciated that there were outdoor trash cans we could put our trash in to keep food smells out of the room. It was too cold to swim but my kids went down by the beach. Our room had a beautiful water view, I got to watch a gorgeous sunrise from the balcony. Lots of palm trees and lovely landscaping. We paid for breakfast at the Turtle Grille and the food was really good at a reasonable price. We definitely want to come back when its warmer, because my kids thought it was paradise.

The large room with bonus living room was great! The beds were very comfortable. The views of the lake and surrounding mountains are breathtaking. Love the grassy and beach areas and the pool was perfect not too crowded but certainly a lot of people. Nice to have the beach towels already in the room when we arrived. Loved the availability of the bikes, we went for a ride every day. Loved that we could put the Hobie Cat right at the beach. I felt safe and noticed security present both day and night. The wings at the naked turtle were really tasty.

Our room wasn't ready until 4:45, so we had to wait. The sidewalk from the turtle to building B needed to be swept of the sand. (Probably all of the sidewalks needed it, but that's the one I walked on the most) Security needs to enforce the rule of taking down the shade pup ups on the beach as they were left up for 2 & 3 days.

The air conditioner in our room was broken. The temperature in the room was over 100 degrees.
