It was so dated. My husband had a hard time showering because the shower head was so low and he's only 6ft. The bed was very uncomfortable. We slept on top of the blanket. The towels might as well have been paper.

Upon rounding the corner and seeing at first glance the DOWNTOWN MOTEL sign which was slanted at an angle, the first impression was negative. Noting the broken slat at the window blind and the run down appearance of the whole venue, we saw that the photos seen on Expedia must have been taken many years ago. Seeing the rooms, the sheets were grey, a single flat pillow was on the queen sized bed, the tub had a stain and the whole was unacceptable. We were whole disappointed with the location.
Room was basic, but excellent for what I needed. It was easy to find and in a quiet area.
Down Town Motel was old and dated looking, but not run down and reasonably clean. The heating and cooling system didn't seem to be working, you only had hot water for a minute or two, the bathtub could only be used for showering as the stopper/plunger mechanism was missing. The bathroom was pure 50's with pink and green tiling, and a green tub and toilet. Room was 50-60's decor and the mattress was very uncomfortable. Thankfully everything was clean, but I got no housekeeping for my third night there. Bed wasn't made, trash wasn't emptied, and dirty towels and wash cloths were not picked up or replaced. Luckily had a spare towel. Upon check I ultimately ended up just leaving the old school physical key on the counter in the office because no one ever came to the desk in the twenty minutes I spent ringing the service buzzer.
For $48 + tax the price is right, but this place is very dated (like 1950's). Pink & green tile in the bathroom. The room had a musty smell and the AC was missing the front panel. Reasonably clean and we got a good nights sleep. Located right on the edge of the downtown area like the name says.
