Lakeside International Hotel

The bed was lovely and big and comfy as were the pillows.

There were no signs inside to show you how to get from A to B. I ended up walking around looking for signs. That was frustrating.

Peaceful, spacious, dated but I liked that . Plenty of parking . Lovely shower ,air conditioning was good.

No problems here .

We had the room with parking view, down in the basement- we couldn’t open the window because was so loud. I was expecting to have room with the lake view. Breakfast wasn’t nice either

To be honest, there was not much to like in this very outdated hotel. It was like something out of the 1970s. The location worked well for what we needed it for. Relatively cheap.

Where do I begin! It was so dark (especially the reception) and we couldn't feel less welcome by the reception staff. One of them was so ambivalent to booking us in, she clearly didn't want to be there. Customer service was off the chart poor. The whole hotel needs updating - a lot! The decor was very weird - pillars, strange, borderline 'tacky' paintings on the ceiling, and furniture that needs updating by a few decades throughout. At 6ft 2 I could hardly get under the shower in my room and there was only cold water coming out on the morning of Day 2. I just don't see how this hotel survives and it needs a lot of investment.
