Roc Luxe Tulum

The location is perfect, IF you are on the beach side of the area as there are 3 parts within Roc Luxe and only one is directly at the beach. Bar and Restaurant are at the beach and the breakfast is healthy and good.

There are 3 parts: Roc Luxe at the beach and Roc Garden and Roc Junge, the latter 2 are separated by a noisy street from Roc Luxe. I think that the description does not give any hint about this so we were very upset when we learned that „garden view“ of our room is the synonym of being located in Roc Garden. We upgraded (für money) to stay in the beach area. I fully understand the system of price differentiation but it should be made clear in the description.

Our garden room was across the street from the beach (not on the beach as initially perceived). Bugs were falling from ceiling onto us while we slept. Ants all over our toiletries and clothes that hung in the bathroom. Ordered fries and sprite, bill was $17 US dollars. no menu for drinks so unsure of what anything costs. Towels at the pool were dirty. No real pool service. Water in the shower and sink was pure salt water.

Location was amazing, the breakfast was delicious. Service top notch.

Perfect Boutique Tulum Stay! The staff (men working the pool/cabanas were fantastic - super sweet and attentive which made us feel right at home. Enrique the receptionist was exceptional! Housekeeping ladies were extremely tidy and left our unit clean every day. We walked south along the beach a couple of times and gotta say Roc Lux is unique and offered a truly relaxing Tulum experience. We had breakfast/lunch and lounged by by the pool mostly due to weather and tides. Food is good/standard. If you’re looking for dinning experience- go to Eater for recommendations. Parking was never an issue and location was perfect for heading into town. Facilities- great. We loved having a have a refrigerator to keep our drinks water cold. Our Deluxe King Suite was garden view with just steps to the beach. Security- always saw staff on site. Felt safe. People: don’t bring your Rolex/ Chanel bag/ high expectations but do bring your flip flops and swim/hiking and sexy summer fits! It’s boho vibe no one truly cares what you wear unless your asking for unwanted attention. Be smart- you’re in Mexico.

So the property is very beautiful the outdoor shower very adorable the grounds are immaculate the pool area is beautiful but......

I was a solo, female traveler, and the door had just a door handle lock that was very flimsy and could've easily been broken open. You could tell that it had been broken open before so that made me nervous. I ended up piling furniture in front of the door before I went to bed, then in the middle of the night there was some sort of monkeys or animals jumping on the roof, and a cockroach fell into my bed because the roof is not solid. It's grass that's was pretty gross haha and the outdoor shower was very beautiful but kind of creepy too as a solo female traveler, and didn't feel secure.... also, the beach out front was not kept clean like the other hotels of Sargasso. Finally the service and the food we're just barely OK and I'm not too picky and I'm very patient so that was a bummer

We loved everything about the property—especially the structure on the beach and how close the front houses are to the sea.

We missed some cozy lights in the pool area if you want to hang out after sunset and have drinks there. And also would be nice to have a drink menu and wine bottles available.

they should improve some meals and breakfast, and at least have a 24-hour snack service (some ready meals for snacking)
