Beautiful garden and great hosts

Very nice hosts!

A very warm welcome from Rob. Delicious lemon cake and complimentary wine, you don't get that in a hotel. A very restful stay. A delicious breakfast. Rob and Jackie are extremely good hosts and the attention to detail was much appreciated. There are some very good eateries nearby and the welcome back was most informative.

We couldn't fault it.

When I arrived Rob opened the door and announced "I've just knocked down a shed!" And with that I felt like I was visiting friends and not a guest at a B&B. Once I entered it was no different - Jackie and Rob are warm, friendly and delightful to chat with. They are around for breakfast and questions but stay out of your way although frankly I would have hung out with them all day! I stayed in the Garden Room and had lovely views and enjoyed the items available in the room to make tea (including biscuits!) Each night a bottle of milk was left outside the door as well as a slice of cake or tea cake in the room. Truly delightful! Breakfast is delicious and includes homemade jams. I appreciate that they offer a "Full English" but you can select what items you want instead of an entire platter of food. There is also fresh fruit, cereals and porridge and a pitcher of hot water to refresh your teapot which is a thoughtful touch. They let you choose what time you'd like to eat which I really appreciated. The neighborhood is rural and has lovely walks nearby including some public footpaths. You do need a car unless you want to rely on taxis because there is a market in walking distance but no public transportation. Before your arrival they send you a detailed email outlining local restaurants and taxi services and were very responsive to my messages.

I booked the stay at White Cottage for my wife, Anne, as she was visiting from Australia and needed a location close to her family in Wombourne. She was delighted with the friendliness of Jackie & Rob who made her feel completely "at home". The room had everything that she needed and the breakfasts were superb. The added extras were very much appreciated too. Hopefully, we can both stay there next year when we are back in the UK. Anne highly recommends White Cottage for a stay in the Midlands.

Everything is just as you could ever want from a B&B. Rob and Jackie are the most welcoming and friendly of hosts and always go the extra mile to make you feel at home, whether it’s freshly made cake in your room, extra fresh milk on your return from a night out, or the most perfectly cooked fried eggs in the morning.

Amazing to be genuinely welcomed into someone’s home! Rob and Jackie were amazing hosts. After staying only two nights, we were sent off with hugs, that says it all!

Very welcoming stay, lovely cottage. . It's the little things that make the difference like home made cake in your room on arrival, being greeted by the owners. Home from home. Would definitely recommend.
