WHOLE Family - WholeVille - Hostel

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with Booking.com. The pictures on the advertisement were completely outdated. Even the onsite manager even confirmed that the photographs of the property have not been updated since the pandemic. The whole property was dirty and in disarray. There was no upside to this location.

I was in town for a business trip and dressed up in my dress pants and shoes. When I arrived at the property, the gate was open for anyone to enter the area. There was only one way in--through the driveway and the back entrance. The driveway was flooded with muddy, dirty water, and there was no way around it. Wading through the muddy water ruined my pants and dress shoes. Once inside, the whole interior was completely dark, with no lights on anywhere, and a putrid smell of sewage, feces, and extreme body odor caused me to throw up nearly. A work colleague was with me at the time because we were going to get dinner together afterward, and she was mortified by the rancid state of the property. She insisted that I stay with her because the conditions were so disgusting. If I had stayed there, all of my clothes (no doubt) would have wound up smelling like literal feces at our work conference. 💩 The on-site manager came out as I was about to leave and gave me a tour of the rest of the filthy property areas. The listing advertises movie nights and lockers to store belongings safely, and everything looks much nicer in the photographs. However, he told me that the photos are from the pandemic—the movie area was literally chained up, the lockers were broken and not usable, and everything was notably dirtier and worn. I booked for 6 nights, thinking this was a great deal. I wasn't expecting anything great, but I also wasn't expecting to throw up and have mud-soaked my dress clothes. 🤮 Avoid this listing unless you are ABSOLUTELY DESPERATE.
