Patal Kikian Villa

Einfach unglaublich! Ein toller Ausblick, super nettes Personal und überall sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir hatten die Villa mit Privatpool, der Pool sowie das gesamte Grundstück ist sehr groß und nicht einsehbar. Hier hat meine seine Privatsphäre und kann sich super erholen. Das Frühstück war das Beste was wir bisher hatten, man konnte zwischen mehreren Vorschlägen wählen und dazu hat man noch ein Büffet mit Obst, Brot, Cerealien, Detox Getränke, Butter und Marmelade. Besonders gut fanden wir die Option, dass man die Croissants aufbacken konnte und ein Toaster stand auch bereit. Haben auch 2x abends im Restaurant gegessen, war alles sehr lecker (bis auf die Pizza). An einem Abend gab es sogar Livemusik von 2 tollen Musikern. Wir hatten hier nur 2 Nächte, aber zum runterkommen war das vollkommen ausreichend, da man hier in der Nähe wenig unternehmen kann. Kein Tourismus, Natur pur. Es gibt einen kleinen Supermarkt (15 min zu Fuß), der allerdings ein ordentlicher Fußmarsch ist, da der Weg hoch zum Hotel sehr steil ist. Wir waren am Gembleng Wasserfall, was wir aber alles selber organisiert haben...so ist man von keiner Gruppe abhängig und ist auch viel billiger (nur Taxi und Spende für Wasserfall). Außerdem waren wir an einem kleinen Staudamm, an dem man auf dem Weg zum Supermarkt vorbeikommt, es lohnt sich aufjedenfall mal dort kurz vorbeizuschauen. Im Hotel werden aber auch diverse Ausflüge angeboten, die wir aber nicht genutzt haben. Die kostenlose 20-minütige Fußmassage war super und ein nettes Extra!

Wir haben nicht wirklich was zu bemängeln. Aber es muss einem bewusst sein, dass hier kein Tourismus herrscht und man nicht einfach mal so raus gehen kann zum shoppen/einkaufen. Hier ist nur Natur und typisches Balileben. Das Wetter ist sehr unbeständig, wir waren im Mai hier und es gab meist nur Früh/Vormittag etwas Sonne, ansonsten hat es auch ordentlich mal geregnet und war oft bedeckt.

I stayed in the villa with private pool and oh my, it did not disappoint!!! The views were amazing- overlooking the valley watching the sunrise and Mt Agung come to life was something special. I loved that there was a lot of privacy. No villas/rooms directly next to each other and that it was a small hotel. Easy communication via WhatsApp with the staff who attended to everything immediately. And you had views throughout the whole area. I was quite surprised to see such a large menu in the restaurant with lots of western cuisine. Personally I would have liked a larger Indonesian selection (but that’s just me being super picky). Also the small morning buffet to the à la carte breakfast was a nice touch. You can see the love that went into this hotel/area.

Only recommendation would be to provide guests with a robe in their rooms for the spa.

An amazing place, the beautiful view of Mount Agung and the rice fields kept surprising us every time we went outside. Such lovely en kind staff, and compliments to the chef for great food. We really loved the menu. The spa was also very relaxing. The pool is only shared with three other villa’s. Would definitely recommend staying here, a great experience.

The only thing I can think of what is a little bit unpractical is that there is not a real shower head, but a stream of water out of a bamboo stick, which has its charm of course (:
