Quiet room despite of location on a busy street. Tasty breakfast with large variety of sandwiches and salads. Unique building with a pleasant courtyard, with a sitting-room and a library, with roof access.

Very friendly staff speaking Swiss-German, helped me with an Arabic language, have a good library good mix of German/English/French literature, the most important for me was the Kawai piano downstairs. I'd better stay in such a lovely tiny Germany till the end of my life than in the real arrogant and unfriendly Germany I lived for 25 years.

Stay Elsewhere!! Better Recommended hotels We used to be regulars. Stayed here many times in the past. As a travel guide . we have referred many Baha’i people too. This time we booked 9 days. Place has deteriorated enormously. Yes we made a mistake and left clothes on the heater to dry. The brother is rude and hostile. And it began the minute we walked in from overseas. No hello. No Welcome back Yes there is a war going here, as he reminded me rudely after telling us off about leaving the clothes on the heater. But no excuse to have freezing corridors with no heat whatsoever and wind and rain blowing through. We have come to visit sick relatives. And since staying here I am now sick! We stayed in 2 warm hotels in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem - no heating problems. There was even a drying rack. Nowhere to hang clothes to dry or clothes rack. No laundromat anywhere Why stay open if there is a war and you can’t afford heating in what has been the coldest weather in 30 years? Next breakfast deteriorated too. Used to be a better selection - many things removed and served several days in a row! Finally! A very low light switch immediately above the bed. Have banged our heads numerous times . No response at all It is actually the indifference and rude attitude . We are very unhappy about this and will not be staying here again! Or recommend to our Baha’i friends.

A jewel of a find. Clean, friendly, great breakfast, and free parking.

Friendly people. Very accommodating. Let me keep my bags there a lot of hours. Easy access with key. Rooms cleaned .I didn’t eat the food but it looked average. Sukkah was it kosher? Also short bus ride to Carmel beach .

Small parking lot, which was full and I need to park my car far from the hotel.
