I've been to Penang many times, so I want a place that is not in center Georgetown but still within walkable distance. The location is ideal, easy to reach by bus and not that touristy. Since they don't have 24h reception, the staff contacted me in advance for estimated arrival time, which is nice. The room is small, but you get all the basic stuff you need. Hair dryer and water are available in the public area. The air conditioner is powerful. Many many food courts nearby. You don't need to be in center Georgetown to get delicious food.
There's a karaoke right next door I guess? I heard people singing even past midnight. Before going there I noticed they had a nice rooftop terrace. I wanted to bring some snacks to chill there, but there were many pigeons (the owner's hobby I think), so I didn't stay for long.
