Eilert Smith Hotel

We loved: the service was 10/10. They went all their way for us. We also loved the room with a wonderful bed, free mini-bar and heated toilet. The materials used are also just amazingly beautiful. What could be better: -some fruits , home made jam or berries -and a bit more bread for breakfast. It was soo good, but a bit on the small side. -Also the light kept turning it self on during the night if we moved. Took a while (and several wakings) before we got that fixed. -a lounge or area to hang or meet up with other guests (family). There is noone when the resturanr is closed.

What a magical stay! My only regret is that we sadly only had an overnight here. The most comfortable night's sleep and a beautiful breakfast! I was traveling with my adult daughter, who happens to be Vegan. I had made this known to the staff when booking our stay and we were blown away by the phenomenal breakfast that was created just for her. Although their restaurant was fully booked for dinner, Iris made a reservation for us at Bellies (an exceptional vegan restaurant in Stavanger) and made everything about our stay perfect! Next time, I will be sure to stay longer and secure a dinner reservations at Renaa!

Truly special hotel experience where the staff including Hanne, Helle and housekeeping lady all went well beyond expectations to help make our stay and experience in the city very special. They were super responsive and hotel decoration and ambience is exceptional!

This was the best hotel experience, hands down. The staff met and exceeded all our needs and accommodated all our requests, including having camomile tea for me after dinner ready in our room, making dinner reservations for us just based on what we felt like eating in general, cleaning my hiking boots from the pulpit rock hike so I could pack them in my suitcase, sourcing a teapot for me to take back, as I got used to my routine of tea in the evening. Literally, anything I asked for, they were happy to oblige. Breakfast every morning in our room felt so luxurious and what a great spread. We loved this hotel and highly recommend it to everyone. It is the best hotel anywhere! The rooms are modern and very nice.

Stayed at EILERT SMITH in Stavanger for 3 nights kicking off our Norway hiking trip (Pulpit rock & Kjeragbolten). TL;DR - wonderful hotel with exceptional service. A few more specifics below: Service: The staff team went above and beyond making sure we had a pleasant stay; checking when we wanted our meals, helping out with bookings/reservations, and giving useful information about the city and local hikes. The more you can express what you are looking for during the stay and how they can help, the better your stay will be! Food: We originally booked this hotel hoping to have dinner at Renaa, but unfortunately they were on vacation during our stay. However we got to have breakfast & a picnic basket prepared by Renaa that did not disappoint! The picnic basket included a few pastries and sandwiches, and it's a hearty meal for two. Location: The hotel has a great central location with lots of shops and restaurants around. It's 45min to Pulpit rock & 2.5hrs to Kjeragbolten. Room: We received a complementary upgrade to a sea-facing suite, which was very roomy and thoughtfully decorated. I really appreciated the local beers (stocked complementary everyday) that were perfect cooldown drinks after long activity days. Parking: 2hr paid parking in front of the hotel (8am-8pm) and 24hr garage paid parking 5-8min both east and west of the hotel.

Very nice hotel with excellent service. Rom standard and quality is very good. Place in the harbour in the middel of the city. Breakfast is served in the rom. Close to all city-sites. The Michelin-restaurant REE-NAA is in the hotel.Recommend this

Loved this Hotel 10 out of 10 on all fronts. Staff were amazingly helpful. The room was super cool. Location was great with a great view over the fjord. Very modern with digital sensors everywhere which was cool but in order give the feedback that was asked for: the automatic light that came on in the bathroom was too bright at 4am! But again the proactive nature of the help from staff was amazing. The 2 star intimate Michelin restaurant was not open when we were there but it looked really interesting.

We had a fantastic time in Stavanger, and the Eilert Smith hotel formed the perfect setting for the stay. The lovely room and the even more lovely personnel made us feel like we had a home in Stavanger for the weekend. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was good, in a very un-intrusive way. On our requests they happily swapped our duvets for thinner ones, brought us more slices of bread when we discovered how good the marmalade on the breakfast tray was (we got plenty the next morning), and they even took the trouble of threading the needle in the sewing kit I suddenly needed. A week later, they mailed me the lipstick I had left in the room. The room, furniture and amenities are of subdued high quality. This hotel is a relaxing haven with effortless service.
