A Casa di Amy

Because of delay of our flight, we arrived late after midnight but Serena was still waiting for us to give the keys and explain the apartment! Very kind and thanks again

Location incantevole con tramonti a mare favolosi. Giardino curatissimo e impeccabile. La casa era molto confortevole con tutto il necessario. Immersa nel silenzio e nella tranquillità. A 5 Min di macchina da San Vito Lo Capo. Posizione strategica per visitare le calette di Macari e le spiagge di san vito.

Appartement très spacieux et vraiment agréable pour deux familles. Une salle de bain avec toilettes dans chacune des trois chambres. Belle cuisine, grand frigo. Bonnes literies. Tout est neuf. La vue est magnifique. Les plages alentours aussi. San Vito est à 10 min en voiture, c'est pratique.

Un seul climatiseur dans la pièce principale est un peu juste. Heureusement , il n'a pas fait très chaud cette année en juillet. Les chambres n'ont pas de fenêtres et on ne peut donc pas faire de courant d'air. Les salles de bain résonnent.

The open air kitchen with the sea views was a real bonus. Barbecue on hand was perfect too (we didn't need the local restaurants). The sunsets are amazing. Macari is a small village but is an easy about 10 minutes drive into San Vito Lo Capo. I would recommend the Conad for supplies and shopping. Its on the approach to San Vito on the right. Watch you don't miss the narrow entrance. There are a couple of smaller supermarkets in the town. Sadly, our experience in one of them was disappointing. Lacking in choice, unfriendly and rude. Locals jumping till queues also not good.

The hot water to the property was somewhat hit and miss. There was none on the day of our departure which was not good. Sounded like there was a problem with the solar panels.

Serena is a lovely host. Great location with a sea view and well-tended garden space. Glimpses of Monte Cofano from the ground floor apartment through the garden. The sunsets were great. The apartment had a well-equipped kitchen, huge fridge, and a large laundry too. Lovely tiled floor. It was all very clean and comfortable. The whole apartment was large and would be great for a family too. Both bedrooms (we only used one) have their own bathrooms. It feels like the bathrooms have been recently renovated. Parking was right outside too.

Somewhere to put bags, coats and shoes near the entrance would be useful. The middle apartment on the ground floor didn't have a lot of windows, so you might feel a bit "closed in".

Friendly, helpful host. Great peaceful location.
