Maple Lane Empire

The location is perfect. Has lake access to little Glen lake. View of sleeping bear dunes from the lake.

The room had a smell to it. The bed wasn't really comfortable. It needs a deep clean and probably remove/replace the carpet for the smells. The bed needs a new mattress.

When I arrived in the dark, unexpectedly very late in the evening, the extremely nice owner guided to the motel and flashed the motel lights so that I could see it from the road back in the woods more easily. I cannot thank him enough for that very kind support!

The location was excellent for our needs.

Location

Nothing in the room to warm up food so you have to do take out or garbage food. A microwave in the room would have made things easier.

Emplacement au calme. Proche des lieux de randonnée. Entre Empire et Glen Arbor.

Peu moderne, une rénovation serait bienvenue. Pas de petit-déjeuner. Pas vraiment d’accueil, on va à sa chambre seul, l’info est envoyée par message. Le Visitor Center de Sleeping Bear est actuellement fermé donc une petite info des propriétaires en direct serait sympa pour s’intéresser et guider les touristes en visite.

For the purpose of my visit it was a great location for my itinerary.

It was beautiful - ample parking and views were excellent. My room had no microwave a bummer but ok for 2 nights
