Lovely welcome from Lizzie, good breakfast. Location is very quiet, comfortable room and clean bathroom with lovely products.

Roads around the property are rural and very dark at night. Parking is not onsite so there is a short walk from where the car is parked to the house and this is dark too. Lizzie provided a torch on the keyring which helped but if you are a little scared of dark areas late at night, and/or you have some mobility issues, you may feel a little anxious when walking from the car to the house. I wasn't fully aware during the booking process that the private bathroom for the room I was allocated was across the corridor rather than en-suite. Lizzie provided a bathrobe to use which I appreciated but I would have preferred an en-suite room with everything contained.

The rural location is lovely and quiet and Lola the black labrador is absolutely as gorgeous as previous reviews have stated. The Fox Goes Free (pub) is nearby for a special meal.

It's worth noting that the English/Irish breakfast is served between 8 and 9am, so if you need to leave for work prior to that then breakfast will be toast and cereal. Parking is a little way away (70m or so) as the house is on a private road and guest parking is on the approach road to this rather than by the house. I found the room and bathroom very cold as the heating wasn't switched on. There was a thick duvet and bedspread, so once in bed it was much cosier.

Everything about this stay was amazing. The location, the room, the owner, the breakfast, the service! Would definitely recommend!!

It’s in a beautiful setting, convenient to the Weald and downland museum at singleton where my son’s wedding was held. Lizzie was so warm and welcoming, the breakfast was excellent the room was large and had everything we needed, the bed was really comfy.

There was nothing we didn’t like

Very comfortable property, close to Goodwood Race Course. The lady gave us a lift to the course which was very kind of her. Only a 30 minute walk, but it was all up hill on the way there, so the lift was appreciated. Easy to walk back to. Clean room, breakfast very nice. Perfect location with a lovely pub just up the road

Lizzie was a wonderful, helpful, attentive host. My daughter and I went to the season finale of Goodwood racing. We drove our car up to the Racecourse and left it there overnight and Lizzie very kindly drove us up there in the morning to pick it up to save us walking up the hill. Would definitely reccomend!
