Sommerhotellet

Vi hadde en veldig fin helg på dette superkoselige hotellet. De ansatte var svært imøtekommende og trivelige. Vi var litt skeptiske til å dele baderom, men opplevde dette som uproblematisk. Dette fordi det på badene, som ellers på hotellet, var veldig rent. Utsikten fra spisesalen er helt fantstisk og maten som ble servert var nydelig, både i utseende og smak!

Manager and hostess became quick friends providing everything from a ride to a trailhead to a sauna experience right off the back deck on the lake. Breakfast was traditional but the quality was exceptional (we’d had 4 other places to compare it to) as everything was farm to fork. We chose the three course dinner which was traditional but again as beautifully created by any dinner I’ve had in NYC and Paris. The use of fresh ingredients coupled with the design flare of presentation was a treat beyond expectations. The rooms are neat charming and comfortable. The shared bathroom was perfect and the floor heated. The common areas were tastefully furnished and inviting. The view of the lake which mirrored in detail the mountains pastures and homes across the way was simply breathtaking. Vang is a pastoral gem with kind people, easy access due to NOR-WAY buses and fun with nearby hiking and boating The helpful manager who also got us a place to stay in sold out Flåm was the icing on the cake!

Udmærket mad men fælles bad og toilet på gangen og værelserne spartansk indrettet vinduer piv utætte så træk hele natten og først morgenmad kl.08

Breakfast was excellent with local foods and delicious freshly baked bread. Dinner was artwork and very tasteful.

Meal and drinks made with local products. Great service. Splendid location. Comfortable and cosy place.

Not really soundproof. Noise from the road or other guests.

Ganske idyllisk opphold med svært god mat. Eneste negative hvis jeg måtte kommentert noe er at hotellet er lytt innvendig og for oss som lå mot veien. Men selv med dette er vi strålende fornøyd! Historisk og koselig hotell :)
