Green Cottage Chamarel

The cottage has a stunning view. It is a well equipped luxurious and comfortable house in the 7 Colored Earth, Chamarel Falls and Ebony Forest park. A great place to explore the South West of the island.

The charm of the cottage being in this beautiful surrounding in the middle of nature area means it is remote from shops and restaurants so plan ahead with groceries etc.

Cottage magnifique et isolée. Très belle prestation. Piscine très agréable.

Accueil froid. Il y a une tranche horaire d arrivée que nous avons respecté et avons été accueilli très froidement. Difficile d anticiper précisément son heure d arrivée quant on est en vacances. J estime que cela fait parti de la prestation d avoir une latence sur les horaires d arrivées et de départ. 3 heures de latences est un minimum étant donné le budget, cela fait parti du service. C est àu propriétaire de s organiser pas aux vacanciers. Petit déjeuner sans intérêt, autant prévoir le votre. Route d accès très compliquée. Nombreux moustiques. Nombreuses caméras extérieures...

Remote location up an unmade road inside the black river national park. Its quiet and peaceful and surrounded by nature. The views are wonderful and there a lots of birds, frogs , lizards and moongoose to see particulalry at dawn/dusk. The cortage has everthing you need for a comfortable stay with a well stocked kitchen comfortable indoor and outdoor seating ad movely poolside area.

Nothing really….looks just like it does in the lictures so if that is what you are after go ahead!

It is a fantastic and absolutely amazing place to disconnect and be close to nature. The place is really well equipped (for example, fireplace and campfire to keep warm, bbq grill, insect repellents, and even board games!!). The amazing views both in the morning and at night are to live for. And the cleanliness of the whole cottage (which is very beautiful) is much appreciated.

A bit rushed at checkout

Location in the Chamarel park is incredible, amazing views and the house is spectacular, very comfortable and well appointed.

It’s quite a rough drive into the park which we didn’t fully appreciate (with a wait at the gate to get in). We didn’t realise that the host would also be travelling to the property just to let us in so check-in time needs to be very precise. We were later than anticipated and host was a little grumpy/rude on our arrival. Breakfast was not clearly communicated and was disappointing with quite a bit of single use plastic and poor quality bread. Note that whilst you have the place to yourselves, cleaning staff may be on site very early (before 7am). Checkout 9am with host on site at 8:45.
