Firstly, we were met by Nadine, from the reception - one can't ask for a friendlier and more helpful person to host you !! From the start we enjoyed her smiling face and friendly approach, and especially when organizing breakfast in the room for us, and for managing to get us a table at the nearby pub, which was full !! Amazing building and gardens. All the staff were friendly. We asked to change the heavy eiderdown to a thinner blanket, and they did so very quickly and readily !! Dinner and breakfast were excellent - dinner eve exceptional !!

The hotel and grounds were amazing. The history of the place is evident from the drive up to the door. We had a very relaxing stay

Some of the 5* touches were lacking and the overall feel was for the older generation. I am close to 60 but still felt out of place

Absolute gem of a hotel. We absolutely loved staying here for a few days getaway. It felt so exclusive, we slept so well and the fact it was dog friendly was an added bonus. I’d love to come back in future.
