Broadstone House near Glasgow Airport

Avoid, stayed one night and had to check out. No likey.

It was different. Not a positive first impression outside. Not a typical type of accommodation.

The house is lovely but you don't stay in the house. You stay in an addition accessed by walking around the house. Well lit at night but still a hike. Shared bathroom. And as for the breakfast, you have to make your own. Like "here's the kitchen and fridge, have at it". The kitchen seemed very dirty to me. We made some eggs and toast. One of the loaves of bread was molded. This is a more expensive place near the airport and I would pass. The bathroom seemed dingy as well.

The hardworking family group we met were smiling and friendly and welcoming. They set out a lot of packaged foods for our selection and set up the clothesline in the back yard so we could dry our laundry. It was like visiting old friends of your former neighbors. We did walk the couple of miles to the train station - able to make the numerous turns by using Google Maps. This place will work well for caravaners and backpackers! Lots of room for parking and for informal back yard hanging-out.

Good stay, particularly for airport stop-overs; the owners are lovely people, used their airport transfers and they allowed free parking for the week.
