JO&JOE Paris - Gentilly Hotel - Hostel

Exactly as advertised. I stayed in a queen ‘pod’ room. Had plenty of space for my stuff and to stretch out. I’m 6’6” and had tons of room in my bed. Service was excellent, friendly and very accommodating.

They are not good organized, I need a refund because they put me in a room of 12 people while I payed for a room of 4 people. Finally they dont answere until I preassure them via Instagram and all the plarforms

Cheap way to stay in Paris. A/C is stuck at 26°C even at night for the environment. Having heart issues while being in the middle of a heatwave that was very uncomfortable and I convayed it to the team. "Can't do anything". I would defintely not come back there during summer. The bed was also not the most comfortable The rest was nice, evening concerts were cool, the little food I tasted was nice and not too expensive. There are a lot of other options on the street tho

Ants in the Room. They told us we were goong to get a refund and the they didnt answer us when we emailed Themsen. 4/5 times in one week. And no answer. And we have not got the refund.

The atmosphere of the hostel is nice. Close to RER B metro that goes to the city, as well as not too bad of a walk to M14 for ORLY airport. Staff service was fine, no one was rude or overly polite either. They didn't really tell me much other than how to get to my room, but they are there to answer questions. The bartender was friendlier, drinks were good, and food from the kitchen was actually decent too! There seems to be a lot of non-guests coming around for social drinks/food and using their meeting rooms. This isn't a bad thing, but more of an fyi, it can get crowded and lively with locals especially in the patio area. I liked that the bed had its own blinds so you can get some privacy. And you can open the window in the room so it doesn't get stuffy or too stinky. Shower pressure was good, but the drain is slow. I wouldn't say the room felt super clean, but it wasn't the worst or anything. Another thing to note, you gotta plug in your room card by the door to keep the lights in the bathrooms/showers on. The rooftop is small, but got a nice view. Also got laundry and little kitchen to use. Luggage storage was about €5/bag.

No real beds you have to pay for towels and no tables or chairs in the room. Too much graffiti around the hotel

Everything was good, except for the bed it was dirt, dust and dirt in the ends.

Affordable place to stay in Gentilly, Paris. A little bit far from downtown, but it is near from train stations, less than 7 or 8 min walking. I stayed in a room with more 3 people, no problems, bathroom is a quiet small but it was always cleaned, as the same with the restroom. Both are inside the room. Breakfast at the hostel for 9 euros, completely ok, many options of drinks and food. Towels to rent for 4 euros. Good. According my expectations.
