Ali and his family were welcoming and sharing, offering us amazing hospitality. The camp area was a wonderful oasis with a flowing, and swimmable river, complete with various birds, and fresh water fish. It was truly an escape from our travels.

That we couldn't stay longer.

"Basic and Beautifull!"

8.0

Wonderfull location! Beautifull gorge with river and palm trees in the middle of the desert. And the people were very kind! We stayed in de rustic little building with paintings on the walls and doors. At night there is no electricity, so they light a fire and use candles.

It is very basic, but we expected that. The location, beauty and friendliness easily made up for the basic facilities.

"A truly peaceful and magical location"

8.0

Absolutely stunning. There is nothing to indicate this on the approach to the camp, until you drive off the edge of a cliff and look down into the gorge for the first time. What appears, at first glance, to be a collection of a few shabby tents at the bottom of a set of steps at the bottom of the gorge is deceptive. The tents, when considered, are probably authentic to original Amazigh and Tuareg tents, and are quite spacious. Yes, getting into them for taller people is a bit of a sore knee experience, but it's all part of the charm. There is no electricity other than some solar powered lights so turn up prepared with power banks if you need to charge phones etc. (I'm sure I don't need to point out that no electricity = no wifi!). This is about peacefulness, listening to nature and star spotting in the dark skies. They do supply torches for you in the evening. We had two tents - one that had a double bed with mosquito net, the other had two single beds, which, despite the lack of net had no problem with mosquitos. The tents themselves are deceptively warm, and whether it was down to being in the gorge itself out of the wind, the fact that there was water in the river or for whatever reason the night we had here seemed to be much warmer than our previous nights (we were here in the winter). There is a separate toilet and shower block - ok, those of an embarrassed disposition might find the assortment of "doors" a bit worrying, and you do need Abdullah to turn on the gas heating equipment if you want hot water, but we had no problems. Abdullah is a wealth of information and he and the other Abdullah are attentive to your needs - only one of them speaks English but he speaks it well and is an excellent host. He organised a meal for us - one of the best tajines we had during our stay in Morocco and cooked in the village on the top of the cliff and bought down for you in the camp. Breakfast was a simple affair - breads, honey, tea etc - but nice.

A miscommunication about the dinner meant the owner (not Abdullah) turned up in the morning and tried to rip us off over the cost of the tajine which resulted in a bad tempered argument that tarnished our stay here. The only saving grace was despite the price we eventually agreed on paying the tajine was so good it felt it was just about worth it. Make sure you get a price for dinner if it is offered to you first when staying here.

"Paradise nature spot with spring fed swimming place authentical accomodation on a great hidden spot."

10.0

This beautiful camp on this amazing spot reaLy gave us the most paradise feeling of Marocco. We travel with our four teenAge young adult kids and experienced this visit as very authentical and adventurous. The nomad tents, although low, have comfortable beds and a great view. The appartment is located in an authentic Berber house also with perfect beds. This accommodation is situated in paradise on a hidden spot. No luxury, but live like the locals do. After four days in very dry places this oase with a Year round swimmable river is a dream, a 10 min walk downstream direction of the village you can swim and jump of the rocks. This is the experience most adventurous people dream of. The setting is stunning, the staff very friendly, the service great and the food erg good.

The kids would say we missed electricity, not so much for the light ( candlelights were romantic) but for charging the phones. As adult weve experienced this as a great way to enjoy each other and have real conversations. Looking back the children said they did not need to charge the phone because their was enough to do and they did not even think about their phones. The bathroom is basic but we did have a shower which we didn't t expect! So actually nothing negative.

Very authentic Bedouin tents, lovely food and great views. Staff helpful

Stairs are a bit steep to the tents, and no electricity for charging phones or laptops etc. the map provided by booking isn’t correct, you will get lost like many others have.

"ursprüngliche Berberunterkunft - ohne Erwartung"

8.0

"Superb"

This is a traditional tent camp so my exoectations and the review are for that, not for the looks and facilities of a hotel. It is a good location, easily accesible from the road, clean, comfortable beads and good breakfast. It's located in a nice gorge

Not much water pressure in the bathroom and none at all at the toilet, you flush it with a bucket.
