Whaleback Inn

My sister and I loved our room -from the cute screen door that let a breeze flow straight to the door wall to a view of the lake . It was amazing!

Beautiful view of Lake Leelenau out our front window was awesome. Staff was very courteous and showed us around properly. The room was SOOO clean and we loved the lodge like atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Was concerned about our late check in, but you were so accommodating! The room was very clean and orderly. The bed and mattress were very comfortable. Will recommend you to my friends and family.

The Inn is in a lovely location and there are many things to recommend it. However, we thought that management used the COVID epidemic as an excuse to eliminate such items as breakfast, maid service, etc. without adjusting the price. Even Motel 6 changes the beds. Would we stay there again? Only if we had a very clear and iron-clad understanding of what was - and was not- included in the price. We won't stay there again if maid service is not standard and we won't pay a price that isn't commensurate with services and amenities. We liked the good things about the Inn, but felt cheated on services one expects with a $300/night room.

Main building and porch as well as grounds were beautiful. Loved kayaking to town for a picnic lunch( 1 mile). Our cabin facing the woods was updated but a little tired. Screens needed repair. Trash left from previous vacationers.

Just what we expected. Very B and B feel. We swam in the lake and ate a picnic in the front lawn.

Cute and cozy Inn. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the views and sitting on the docks. Very short drive to Fishtown. Will stay again.

Our stay was only for one night but we really enjoyed it. The owner was very welcoming and the grounds and view were amazing. Our room was very nice and comfortable. The town is only a mile away so location is perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer!
