"Alaska the Beautiful"

Ketchikan is beautiful. This was my 1st visit to Ketchikan. The Gilmore is very nice! It is a historic vibe. My view of the water & cruise ships was great! The hotel is convenient to all of the local restaurants & shops.

The room was clean and cute. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic, especially for an old building. Beautiful view of the water from our room. Helpful staff. Would definitely stay their again.

I didn't want to do this. I have been going to Alaska for 20 years and always wanted to stay at this property. After seeing the photos on line, we booked this. After traveling all day, we checked in, got out room and had to walk up six flights of stairs with our luggage. The carpets were very dirty. When we went into the room, it was so small. the bathroom had this tiny stall shower, like one you would have in basement. The room was so tiny. about two feet around the queen size bed. When I went to open the curtain for the view, it was a view of another build, just two feet away. We picked up our bags and headed back down the stairs and went elsewhere. It took some fighting however we did receive our refund.
