Dunas do Alvor - Torralvor

Good location about 10 walk in one direction to the beach and in the other direction to the Old Town. Lots of cafes and restaurants and a good sized supermarket in the immediate vicinity. Reception and poolside staff are very friendly and helpful and the pool is one of the largest I’ve ever seen at a holiday apartment complex or hotel. The apartment itself is very clean and well equipped, but basic and outdated and doesn't in reality quite reflect the impression given in the photos.

A little upgrading would do wonders to create a better impression and experience, such as replacing the badly damaged and unsightly balcony table, as well as the brown blankets which are old fashioned and feel dusty and unhygienic. And provide proper beds, not just divans and separate headboards leaning against the wall. Duvets would be much better! The mattress and the pillows were also lumpy and uncomfortable. The corridors outside my room was in darkness at all times - it was difficult to even locate the keyhole in the apartment door without a phone torch.

Location was central to village and near to beach. Plenty of food and drink around the apartments

Apartments were lovely bit basic beds etc, and the actual outside could do with a freshen up. Overall though good value

The location was very central to the tourist spots. The apartment was reasonably furnished, with all the appropriate crockery. I only had to buy some stuff from the supermarket which is located only 5 minutes away. I also like that the poor was key card only and has staff working there. It was also good to have food and drink facilities on site.

The lifts were very small and it wasn't easy to find your way down the stairs. The first and second day and day I got a little lost but after that I found my bearings. No light voile curtains to allow light onto the room and allow for privacy. The curtain has to be drawn and lights turned on.

Very clean, everything close by, friendly staff. Apartment a little dated but very well equipped and very clean and comfortable

Spacious apartment that had a good kitchen area and views over the swimming pool at one side and the square at the other.

The apartment was in need of a refurbishment. The bathroom was poor albeit clean. The bedroom and particular the 2 single beds need replacing and were not comfortable. Feel the springs and the pillows were very poor.
