"Nice break to visit Xmas markets in vicinity."

Cosy, welcoming and clean. Welcoming hosts and a well cooked breakfast too. Situated in a lovely town which we hadn’t visited before.

Nothing. Parking wasn’t an issue for us as lots of car parks in the vicinity and the town felt safe.

"Enjoyed our stay at Kirkgate House and would recommend to friends"

Location was excellent and very close to the centre. Room was comfortable and the fridge on the landing with complementary water and milk was a nice touch. The breakfast room was very cosy especially with the fire going on a cold morning. The breakfast was hot and well cooked and presented by very friendly staff.

2 minor things 1. Lock on the door handle was temperamental 2. Would have liked a hook on the back of the door for wet coat.

"Excellant, would highly recommand,"

Very cosy and clean. The staff were alway’s available and friendly. The breakfast was lovely with locally purchased good’s which were very tasty. All in all a grand stay.

Parking, car park is some distance away and the walk in the rain was a pain.

"Quiet and relaxing but within walking distance of everything Knaresborough has to offer."

The bedroom and en-suite were very clean. Facilities were just as described - toiletries, towels, tea and coffee etc but there were also unexpected "extras" such as chocolate bars and fresh milk for the tea and coffee. Good choice for breakfast and the food was delicious. Well located just off the market square with plenty of pubs/restaurants/cafes close by. Overall a most enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend this property.
