Die ruhige Lage - man erreicht die Unterkunft nur über eine schmale Straße, die zudem noch eine Sackgasse ist - Durchgangsverkehr Fehlanzeige. Umrahmt ist das Grundstück von einer typischen Toskana-Landschaft - traumhaft. Zudem gab es einen gut gepflegten Pool zum Abkühlen im Garten. Das Grundstück insgesamt war sehr schön angelegt. Die Maisonettewohnung befand sich am Kopf des Hauses. Dadurch hatte man fast ein eigenes Ferienhaus. Die überdachte Terrasse an der Kopfseite mit Fenster zur Küche bzw. Tür zum Wohnbereich bot uns sehr gute Möglichkeiten für die Mahlzeiten (Frühstück und Abendessen). Gemütlich eingebettet ins Grüne und trotzdem mit Blick Richtung naheliegendem Hügel und Volterra war die Terrasse sehr gut gelegen und man hatte seine Ruhe. Für unsere Kinder (12, 9 und 8) gab es im Garten und mit dem Pool ausreichend Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Langweilig wurde es nie! Insofern eignet sich diese Unterkunft auch prima für Familien mit bis zu 3 Kindern (2 Zimmer mit Dopplbett, 1 Zimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten).

Very dark apartment, no TV, slow WiFi, to Volterra is by the walk very far, so we came there by car.. If you don't have your own towells, can't go to the swimming pool for swim. We go out 1 day before the end of our stay. But this is just my own impression.

Disappointing Pool Situation and Missed Opportunities — But Still a Place with Great Potential. On a positive note, the owner was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions, and communication was easy and efficient. Also, a really nice touch: the owner gave us a bottle of wine since we were staying more than three nights — a thoughtful and appreciated gesture that stood out. The place itself has charm and lots of potential. With just a few thoughtful improvements, it could offer an amazing experience for future guests. Small details matter — and adding those would really elevate the stay! Tip for future guests: Be sure to confirm the pool’s status before booking, as it’s a key feature. Also note that pool hours are limited (9:00–19:30), which isn’t ideal for guests who want to explore Tuscany during the day and relax in the evening.

My friends and I spent a lot of time searching for the perfect villa for a long-awaited holiday, and we chose this particular property mainly because of the pool. Our goal was to relax and spend most of our days outdoors by the water. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that the pool was under construction — something that was not mentioned anywhere on the listing. This was a major letdown and completely changed the nature of our holiday. The owner seemed to treat it as a normal situation, but for us, it was a big disappointment. It's also important to mention that the apartment for 6 people is located right behind the owner's living space, which at times made us feel like we were stepping into their private zone — a bit awkward and not exactly the level of privacy we expected. Another thing to be aware of: despite what we found on Google, you cannot reach the property by train. You absolutely need a car — it's not walkable from Volterra, or anywhere really. Some practical aspects also fell short: only two rolls of toilet paper were provided for 6 people over 4 days. Essentials like shampoo, shower gel, and even basic kitchen supplies weren’t available, which is surprising for a villa of this category. We also found it odd that although the owner produces their own olive oil (which sounds amazing!), none was available in the villa. A small sample would have been a thoughtful and memorable touch — and might have encouraged us to buy more or take part in a tasting or workshop. There were also a few cleanliness issues, like bugs and very dusty areas under the beds — not something you'd want to discover on vacation. On the one sunny day we had, we tried to enjoy the pool area (even though the pool wasn’t usable), but found out that we couldn't use the towels from the house. Apparently, you need to bring your own pool towels — something we didn’t know in advance.

Perfect location, very close to Volterra, in the nature surrounded by olive trees and beautiful view. Property is clean, very comfortable and spacious for staying with the family (or friends). We loved having breakfast /dinner on the patio.
