I'm Your Host - Fisherman's Rest

Generally, the unit is quite comfortable and comes with everything that suits a family or group.

The setback is water leaking from the bathroom to the ceiling below at the entrance door on the ground floor. Another problem is the difficulty to wheel the luggage to the unit and the accessibility is unfriendly.

It's a lovely, clean, well equipped cottage. Good location. We used the log burner which was lovely.

There is no parking but we parked in the main car park in Lynmouth which was okay. We were emailed to say we needed to vacate the property by 10.30 a.m and the cleaning staff arrived just after 10.00 a.m saying the email had been wrong. There was no travel cot but it was okay as I'd contacted the host beforehand and took our own.

Characterful cottage in interesting and central location. Wood burning stove was good.

We had a little trouble getting hot water/central heating to start with, but soon worked it out.

It was very comfortable. I went with a friend and I had one of the single beds and my friend had the double. My bed was so comfy! I've stayed in similar places and so often the single beds do not have good mattresses as the focus tends to on the double bed. So I had some great sleep here! The kitchen facilities were good and the living room cosy.

The cottage is very tucked away and there are no views, this should be made clearer. I was surprised to not find a cafetiere - I had been looking forward to my fresh coffee in the morning! There was a washing machine but I couldn't find a drying rack. The shower enclosure was a bit small.

Charming old cosy cottage. Very nicely furnished, plenty of room for the two of us. Small bit of outdoor space on the front of property with table and chairs. Great location just a short walk from centre of Lynmouth. Beautiful walks all around Lynmouth. This is a delightful place to stay.

Had difficulty finding property as it is accessed via a small walkway (which is shown on photos) however this is very difficult to spot when driving around. Clear instructions rather than a link to google map would be better. No information on bin / recycling collection days. Disappointed that we had to contact several times to get carbon monoxide monitor seen to as it was alarming. Disappointed to note a small blood stain on mattress protector when we stripped bed on leaving. We did not mark property down based on above as the property was otherwise so lovely.
