Genesis Regal Cruise

We are in Vietnam for the first time and Ha Long Bay is likely a once in a lifetime opportunity for us. I read countless reviews and watched videos all recommending genesis. We booked the 2 night cruise so that we weren’t rushed and we cannot recommend it enough. Everyone that was leaving after 1 night was wishing they stayed 2. The staff are incredible, activities optional and the food is excellent and plentiful. You won’t regret booking this cruise

We had 2 beautiful nights on the Regal Genesis and could not rate the trip and the staff and the ship more highly. Halong and Lan Ha Bays are incredibly beautiful and have to be seen in person to be believed. The cycling side trip to Viet Ha village was a personal highlight for us. Our cruise director Vinny was warm and welcoming and had a great sense of humour, and was very knowledgeable about the bays and their histories and the environment. The food on the ship was incredible, so fresh and appetising. The cocktails were delicious and affordable. I did not want to leave the ship and could have easily and happily stayed longer. They arranged our transfers from Hanoi at the start of the trip in a very comfortable mini bus and to Haiphong at the end of the trip by provate car. Every aspect of the cruise was perfect in my eyes and well worth the price.

Terrific boat and service. I did not like that we could not sit wherever we wanted at the restaurant. We ended up seating next people that don't speak English.

Ship was only 7 months old. Beautiful large rooms, attentive staff, good good. The clawfoot bathtub facing the bay was something out of a dream. The staff tried hard cater to all your needs. We took the 2 day cruise which I would recommend because one night was just not enough.

Linh and her team cultivated an excellent experience with a high level of attentiveness and an eye for detail. Our room was spectacular and exceeded our expectations. The staff was kind, caring and supportive. An overall 5 star experience we would highly recommend to anyone considering exploring Halong Bay.

We had a great time on the Genesis Regal. On our arrival, the staff greeted us with a wave and when boarding showered us with petals! Everything was well organised and it was smooth sailing through (no pun intended). The food was unbelievable and consisted of several courses. Our room was fantastic, clean, spacious and had a bath which we thought was brilliant! At night, the staff put on entertainment and taught the passengers how to make spring rolls - an all you can eat experience as well! The organised trips were great, kayaking was good fun and the visit to the floating house was eye opening. We had booked our next stay on Cat Ba - knowing this, the staff chartered the speed boat just for us to drop us off and save us going back to mainland to get a ferry back. Would I recommend Genesis regal cruise? Absolutely!

the was the highlight of our trip. super clean and new boat, very friendly staff, wonderful beds and amazing bathroom. wished we had more time! loved every second of it!

From the vessel itself to the beautiful location to the superbly wonderful staff and great food, there is really nothing but good things to say. The interior of the ship was decorated and outfitted beautifully (you cannot miss soaking in the big tub in front of the huge picture window watching the islands blissfully float by). They did a nice job on the food service and everyone was so warm and accommodating. Special thanks to the sales staff Ms Chee and the other crewmembers, Linh, Christine and Mai. Of course, the male staff was excellent too, but I cannot remember their names! The scenery and location were stunning and one of the top 5 trips we have ever taken.

Well organized cruise and transportation from Hanoi. The ship was very new. Cabins were excellent. Agency was very helpful and fast to organize our return to Haiphong airport instead of Hanoi.

Everything was just amazing, starting with pickup and transportation from the hotel, to embarkation, meeting with the crew, and the first lunch on the boat. Lost of well-organized (and free) activities (boat tour of the islands, visit to a floating home, cooking class, tai chi class, etc.). All the crew members were extremely helpful, polite, friendly, and fun to talk to. Everything was well thought-though, no glitches in scheduling. Food was excellent and plentiful. Our cabin was large, modern, and the views from our balcony were amazing. In summary, we were really glad we went with Genesis, and we would highly recommend this cruise company. I wish we could stay at least one more day on board!
