This is a large property on a good of course a few miles out of town. It’s beautiful and quiet with large rooms and very attractive public spaces. Additionally the staff are friendly, outgoing, helpful and cannot do enough to make your visit comfortable. Dinner at the Pullman Restaurant - in train cars from the Orient Express was special and expensive but worth the splurge. The only negative was being charged 7 Euros for a bottle of tap water on top of many hundreds of euros for dinner.

Wonderful stay at Glenlo Abbey! The grounds and hotel are beautiful. We were upgraded to a one bedroom Lodge room. Access to the living room, kitchen and laundry were a bonus. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff here are wonderful, friendly, informative and attentive. The Palmer restaurant is very nice and the food delicious. A ride into the city center of Galway was about ten minutes. We couldn’t have had a better stay.

The hotel was expensive and overbooked with bus tours. There were a few of us not happy with room. No tub, shower was open and next to toilet. Only one person could be in there at a time. I suggest the staff come as a couple and try to use this type of room! Also you could not get near the bar.

My partner and I had a fantastic experience at Glenlo. Every member of the staff was friendly and attentive. The room was impeccable and the grounds were beautiful. I will definitely be returning for future trips.
