Guesthouse Hóll

Quaint little guesthouse! The stairs are very narrow so moving luggage is a bit difficult but the location is great. We stayed 2 nights and the radiator in the bedroom wasn’t working but the property managers left a couple of beers for us knowing that they are still renovating and it was warm enough with just the one radiator. Would stay again!

We booked for 3 guests but were not provided with pillows or towels for 3. The single sleeper couch was not long enough for a 5"6" adult. The shower is quite small. There.was only 1 very tiny trashbin in the room so we could not dispose of our trash properly. Also, if you have mobility issues, beware of the steep stairs. No lift or ramp.

Wonderful place in an excellent location for access to trails and town. Great layout, beautiful views, and very comfortable, with everything you need for a home away from home.

Hóll Guesthouse is a great guesthouse! It looks awful from outside but everything was new inside in our room so like a gem from inside. For a guesthouse (you are not paying for a 5 star hotel) it is a really great stay. Location is perfect, it had all little extras we needed (great organic Sjostrand coffee and Nespresso machine) bowls, dish etc and small fridge. I would say it is made with more love than many guesthouses/hotels in Iceland and therefore don't understand some of the negative comments and low ratings. We had a bathroom in our room which I didn't expect but didn't use the common shower. The only downside (except the look outside) was the fridge which was a bit loud and a chair would have been nice and a small shelf in the bathroom.

We got a suite with a kitchenette, small lounge area and our own bathroom. Was more beautiful than the photos and more space than we were expecting. The view from every window was incredible. Parking was extremely easy. Close to everything in the town, walking everywhere in the town is so easy and there are a lot of great dining options nearby as well as two grocery stores. If you have any mobility issues, be aware that there are a lot of stairs to access the property.

Clean and nice

Stayed in a room with a private bathroom. Very cutely appointed and comfortable, have already recommended to friends visiting the islands.

Easy access and very close to ferry! Exactly what we needed for a 1 night stay on the island!

Was good, the condition of the outside of the house is disgusting though.

We were worried when we pulled up as the outside looked a bit dated/haunted. Inside is beautiful. We would definitely stay here again! Brewery next zoos is great, Gott restaurant next to that phenomenal! Great town! Great place!
