My room Montecute was cold but I had no way to increase the room temperature.

Spacious room and decent sized shower. Handy location. Comfortable bed Quiet The staff were friendly. Gluten free breakfast options and all nicely cooked.

The colour of the wall in the room wasn’t to my taste but not offensive. The first table we sat at breakfast had very uncomfortable chairs and didn’t allow much room between leg and table however I appreciate they are likely very old and in keeping with the theme.

Location was great in particular being close to the train station and to the centre of town. The staff were friendly and very accomodating and the cafe did a great breakfast.

The bathroom mirror light would not turn off and was on for my entire stay. I did report it on the first day and was advised that there had been problems with other rooms but no action was undertaken during my stay.

Being directly across from the train station suited us perfectly. Breakfast was a wide range of choices, served in a lovely room; a shame the weather didn't allow us to use the garden. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a great shower. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Easy walk into town and restaurants. Area was very quiet. Highly recommended.

As mentioned to the receptionist, the bathroom fan doesn't turn off in order to prevent excessive moisture build-up in the bathroom, but the white noise - though not very loud - is a bit annoying overnight. She assured us this was an issue they were trying to resolve.

Very convenient and surprisingly quiet being near main roads and the station. Good sized bedroom and bathroom. First time we've had a cafetiere for making coffee. Parking onsite was free.

Pillows were poor quality and uncomfortable the toilet seat was very loose and difficult to sit on!! The bright red tv standby light kept us both awake all night so had a poor sleep mainly because the tv was mounted on the wall so the light was immediately in front of the bed!! We waited half an hour for our bacon sandwiches at breakfast,a table that came in after us received their breakfasts before us!!

Lovely hotel only steps from railway station. Room was modern and clean with a large shower. Staff welcoming and friendly. I prefer a self serve breakfast but good selection on the menu and we enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
