The Wi-Fi never worked I had to login about 10 times a day and then it only stayed on for an average of 2 to 3 minutes so I end up using my 4G No staff at reception ( My friend checked in the next day and was waiting at reception for a very long time, calling out and messaging just to try to check in No staff around to help Had to go searching for them A few times a day The owner makes staff join a meditation, so if you arrive at that hour or need water or any help there is no one to assist you There was renovations going on right beside me so a lot of hammering and banging throughout the whole day

This place is incredible magic. You have everything you need to dive in silence and allow nature to surround you. Is a very special place if you are looking to spend time with yourself and meditate by the river.

Everything was lovely, except the mattresses. They’re older spring mattresses and are in poor shape leading to lots of back pain during my stay. Otherwise, stay was great! Breakfast was in a venue with a beautiful view, the free morning meditation session was welcoming (and staff also attended), the grounds are well maintained; it’s a very serene place to stay. I don’t mind walking hills so easily accessed other parts of town/restaurants/cafes/scenic roads.

Amazing location, peaceful and relaxing, beautiful views from our villa, great value for money, delicious food in the restaurant.

Wow! This was unexpected. We only booked this a few days before deciding to visit Sidemen - the reviews were ok and the price was very cheap. It was quite an odd name for a hotel but we went for it and didn’t expect too much. Well what a surprise. It was beautiful. The gardens and grounds were immaculate with beautiful lush flowers all around, a little oasis. Our room was huge with big windows and a balcony with the most incredible views onto the river and mountains. It was breathtaking. We were able to hire a scooter and do some laundry - all the staff were lovely. The breakfast was great and again with incredible views all around. The location was brilliant - we were able to walk to various restaurants/warungs each night, quite a lot of choice.

Not much. Our toilet didn’t flush properly but not an issue and was fixed quickly. I think the name of the property - Nirarta Centre for Living Awareness - may put people off booking as it is unusual. There is meditation available at the property but was not a obvious. If we went back to Sidemen we would absolutely book Nirarta again!
