I think this hotel could be great - the courtyards are gorgeous and the rooms are generously sized. But it seems to me that perhaps the mechanical and electrical systems could use an upgrade. While clean, the room's decor and furnishings were noticeably tired and a bit outdated. Conveniently located, but the highway noise is on the louder side too, although I realize that there is probably nothing that can be done about this. We experienced issues with the power in the room going out when using the hairdryer and air conditioner. It was fixed by resetting the circuit breaker, but in a lifetime of staying in hotels and using said appliances, this is the only time we have experienced this. It was difficult to nearly impossible to get warm enough water for a shower in the room. The shower needed to run for a couple minutes before becoming reasonably warm enough to bathe in. And then there would only be enough of that warm water for one person to shower - the other would have to wait a while and start the process over again. On the second night of our stay, the hot tub and pool were both not at the correct temperatures - both felt about 20 degrees cooler than the advertised 80 (pool) and 100 (tub) degree waters. Other guests were experiencing this at the hot tub too, and multiple guests (including us) reported it to the staff on duty, only to be told that they couldn't do anything about it. I reported all of this to the staff member on duty when I checked out, and he seemed indifferent to all of it, and told me "well that's what happens in Corte Madera!" What is that even supposed to mean? I will mention that the lady working the night shift when the power went out was very helpful.

We've stayed at Marin numerous times but this time it wasn't as good. The house phone Didn't work. Told housekeeping but never fixed. The bed was terrible -8 no support and small for queen. The front door squeaked loudly. The water in bathroom was extremely low . No toaster.

Our second stay here was a disaster. The room had a plumbing leak in the bathroom and the stove didn’t work. So we had to go down to the public bathroom in the gym and couldn’t cook for our family. It took an entire day and they refused to move us to another room even though we saw people check in and out (our room was next to the front desk). When we asked for a refund, they canceled our reservation and left us homeless. They knew we were town for the memorial for our late son in law. They are heartless especially the front desk manager Tom. These people have no character. Be careful!

Easy access to highway and shopping

Gut gelegenes Hotel, sauber, Einrichtung und Aufmachung etwas gealtert (dunkelbrauner Teppichboden), dafür für die Gegend ordentliches Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Innenhof mit ansprechendem Freizeitbereich. Einer der Portiers spricht gut deutsch.

Schlechte Isolierung, lautstarke und mutmaßlich nicht energieeffiziente Heizung.
