Apartments Simun

Anita the host was incredibly helpful and welcoming. She welcomed us with lovely homemade lemonade, ensured we settled in and helped us organise a taxi to the old town and gave us information about the bus which passes close by. The views from the balcony are simply gorgeous (morning evening and night). We only stayed one night but the room has a fridge and cutlery you may need.

The apartment has a good price-quality, as well as a free parking slot and a great view; that can’t be denied. Ana was very friendly in person, she even had the gesture of serving us apple juice at our arrival.

However, the overall experience is more than just the price-quality, in the last 3 years I’ve booked +35 places through Booking and this is the first time I’ve had a terrible experience. Ana never answered my booking messages, she also got very stressed every time we mentioned something wrong with our room, as if it was our fault. When we first used the bathroom and the shower, we realized water leaked out from both; and although Ana left a mob at the side of the door, she never mentioned anything. We also realized that the air conditioner didn’t work properly (trust me, this one is big when minimum temperature at night does not go below 25 degrees Celsius). The drain grate was totally rotten, and Ana’s solution was to cover it up with a rug. When we mentioned all of the above to her, she said it was a previous guest who managed to destroy it all… which didn’t sound completely true. Finally, we kindly asked Ana to change rooms, which she said was not possible because everything was fully booked, which was not true either, as we so keys attached to the door locks in multiple rooms. Probably our bad experience was more related to the room than to the place as a whole, but we will definitely not stay there again if we ever get to visit lovely Kotor.

The view is incredible; you open the shutters onto the lake! Apartment simun is affordable, neat and tidy (if a little dated). The bed is a good size, the bathroom is a little tight and the shower is hand held but the kitchenette is a good size and clean. The host was very helpful despite our late check in time.

The apartment is 40 minutes from the bus station/old town. You will need a car to stay here, or catch taxis for between €10-15 euros from Kotor.

The apartment really was lovely, pristine and clean. The owner Anita met us and brought some nice cool drinks over to us which was very welcome with the heat. It's in a very pretty location right by Kotor Bay. The walk to the old town took around 30 minutes or so but we didn't mind as its along the bay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The apartment was nice and clean and also Anita is a very kind and friendly person. Great view is the bonus :) We enjoyed our stay.

The place is little far from old town and it is difficult to find taxi or bus.
