The location is very nice and close to the beach, and the building is well-maintained. It is quiet and peaceful at night. Although not having air conditioning was a bit uncomfortable, we managed with the breeze coming in from the front. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the attitude of the staff and the locals in general. They are not rude, but they also don't come across as friendly. It feels like they are just doing their jobs for a paycheck, with little enthusiasm. I got the impression that they are somewhat fed up with tourists. This was my first time in Maui, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I saved a lot to travel there and had high expectations, but I left with a sour experience. Not to mention that, everything is very, very expensive!

Because the a/c was under maintenance..it was hot and humid...we used fan to cool down but since the room was facing west it was still hot and humid

Ocean view excellent. Close to restaurants, stores, and attractions. Negative: Roaches and had to pay to upgrade to air-conditioning.
When we arrived we were informed the air conditioning was out in our tower and nowhere to move us to. No ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Air vents were filthy and clearly not cleaned in who knows how long. Not enough towels or coffee in the room for a party of 5 adults. We were told at check in that if we emptied our trash and left it at our door it would be picked up in the morning and yet stayed there for days.
The property is situated nicely between high-end resorts. A lengthy boardwalk is available for miles.

The room with kitchen and laundry was excellent. We had a fabulous view. Pool was excellent. Access to beach was exceptional.
