The 3Cities Auberge

It's hard to know where to start in describing how fantastic the 3Cities Auberge is. First, the townhouse itself is nothing short of stunning. The rooms are like something out of a period film, restored to their former glory and yet simultaneously made thoroughly modern in their function (from USB sockets to Nespresso machines to great showers). We spent plenty of time sitting on our covered balcony (in true Maltese style!) sipping a glass of white wine and watching the street below. It also boasts not one but two beautiful roof terraces, great both for a sunset drink and a sunrise workout if you're inclined. Complimentary yoga mats are available for more active guests, while a well-stocked fridge and ice machine caters perfectly to those on the more relaxed end of things. The location is also notably exceptional. You're moments from the waterfront, perfect either to take the frequent ferry to Valletta or to simply wander up and down and take in the sights. You're a few minutes walk from all the major attractions, including Fort St Angelo on this side of the water. It's a great base from which to explore. The thing that makes the 3Cities Auberge so special more than all of this, though, is the hospitality of its owners, Annett and Michael. "We designed the experience how we'd like it to be when we travel," said Michael as we departed. This is the perfect articulation of what they've created - from the complimentary wine to enjoy at your leisure to the tremendous home made breakfasts to the perfect restaurant recommendations, Annett and Michael are perfect hosts who go above and beyond anything I've experienced elsewhere. Bravo - the best stay we had in Malta, and probably the best stay we can remember having on our travels. 👏👏👏

Charming, stylish and peaceful - hosted to perfection my Michael and Annett. A wonderfully relaxing environment to spend a few days. The property is kept to the highest levels of cleanliness. It has a traditional charm and is immaculately furnished throughout. Every aspect of the accommodation is of supreme quality - the bed and bed linen are extremely comfortable. The small touches only add to what is already a perfect experience (complimentary wine and beer in the room and on the terraces, for example). A delicious and healthy breakfast. The location is great and the water taxi to Valletta is a 5 minute walk away. There are multiple top-notch restaurants within walking distance of the property. I would highly recommend a stay here to anybody. I shall return here on my next trip to Malta. Regards, Tony

Michael and Annett were the best hosts you could imagine, with the most spectacular rooms, views and friendliness. We had an amazing stay thanks to the good advice they gave us. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were spotless. We spent our days relaxing on the roof terraces or walking through the streets of the 3Cities. The location was perfect; close to the Ferry to Valletta and many good restaurants in the neighborhood. We would definitely recommend, and will be back!

Perfect place to relax. Spacious, airconditioned room with comfy beds. Great location, Valletta is just a short walk and ferry ride away, while you can enjoy staying in a more quiet and non too touristy area. Super friendly and welcoming hosts. Accommodating and helpful in case of dietary restraints. Recommendations for places to see and restaurants to visit were very helpful. For restaurants, reservations were arranged by the hosts, again helping to pick the right places offering vegetarian options. Great freshly prepared breakfast. Ice cube maker so you can chill your drink. Several shared areas, small library, balconies to enjoy the view or sit outside and read. If we visit Malta again, this would be our first choice . This place is a gem!

There was nothing not to like.

It was our first time in Malta, a place we have always wanted to visit, and the country itself did not disappoint. However, our holiday was made even more special by our experience staying at The 3 Cities Auberge with Annett and Michael. We have travelled a lot but have never stayed in a place with such lovely hosts! They both went out of their way to make us feel at home, so much so that it felt we were visiting family or friends rather than being in an anonymous hotel. Annett and Michael have lovingly renovated their home and are so passionate about sharing it with their guests. Our room was fabulous and halfway through our stay we had the opportunity to move to one of the other rooms which was even more luxurious. We loved Annett’s wonderful breakfast and Michael’s fabulous morning coffees, made just as we like them! Much as we loved the house, we did manage to tear ourselves away to explore the area. Although the property is located in a quiet street it is just steps away from the waterfront with its bars and plenty of great places to eat. We loved wandering round Copiscua, exploring its narrow streets, markets and restaurants, but it was also really easy to get into Valletta, the ferry being a few minutes’ walk from the property. All in all, we cannot rate our stay too highly and are already thinking about when we could come back for a further visit. Thank you Annett and Michael for a wonderful stay.

A really amazing stay in this lovely boutique accommodation. Annette and Michael were the most fantastic hosts and I’m especially grateful for their delicious breakfasts. We will definitely be returning but next time taking over the majestic honeymoon suite.

Oh. My. Goodness! This hotel is stunning! The photos are almost as beautiful as the property itself and the location is perfect for a walkabout and close enough to catch the ferry in about a 6 minute walk. The three levels feature outdoor & indoor breakfast spaces and perfect places for sun worship! Annett and Michael go above and beyond the highest expectations to help their guests feel at home. Such a wonderful visit for our first time in Malta. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

It was great.

Beautifully and uniquely decorated house which was an experience in itself to stay in. The place is in a great location for exploring nearby (lots of things to see as well as great bars and restaurants on the seafront in walking distance) and easy to access Valletta via a short ferry or bus ride. It is also well placed for being able to catch the bus to further locations across the island. Michael and Annett were fantastic hosts with lots of local knowledge, who have obviously put so much care and personal touches into their beautiful property. We had a fantastic time and thank you for such a great stay!
