The breakfast was very limited and the restaurant was on the other side of the river you have to walk for 10 minutes to get dinner and once I arrived there was no place because it was fully booked

View over the river to the old town and castle was magnificent. It's only a 5 minute walk over the bridge to the old town. Free, off road parking right by the hotel. Excellent friendly, helpful staff, both at reception and in the breakfast room. When I reported the room had been set up for one guest only, extra bedding and towels were there immediately. The morning staff at breakfast were equally pleasant and helpful. Nice room - I do not agree with previous negative reviews about the decor; we thought the decor was attractive and were pleased to have a fridge in the room. There is a well designed bathroom with hooks and ample surface for putting things on, a stool and a magnifying mirror. In addition to the routine shower get and soap, body lotion, cotton pads and buds etc. were also provided.

There was nothing we did not like so the following comments are only to assist future guests and the owners may wish to consider when looking for improvements to the guest experience. One review stated dinner was included but there is only a breakfast room. For dinner you need to walk into town. There is no kettle or coffee machine in the room, which was standard across a lot of Europe, but many hotels are now providing this. There are no English speaking channels on the TV; maybe BBC news, Sky news or CNN could be provided? In a double room for 2 people there is only one comfortable chair and no proper desk chair. The Wifi is poor; I only managed to connect on my phone when I went downstairs, though later was able to connect on my laptop; my husband failed to connect on either his phone or laptop. The staff suggested it may be that too many people were connecting, yet we were there at a quiet time of year, in which case an upgrade could be considered. In 2025 people expect to be able to connect to Wifi easily.
