Americas Best Value Inn Aiken

Absolute trash motel. Do not stay here.

We ended up here unexpectedly after our tire blew out heading home from Charelston. Given that it was a motel, my expectations were really low. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness factor once inside. I'm not saying it's fancy, but definitely better than what I was expecting. The only thing I'd like to point out is that their listing says it includes breakfast and coffee, but there is no access to the lobby and neither service is offered. The misrepresentation won't be compensated by Hotels.com.

Check in was outside..NO OPEN LOBBY. We were shown two rooms..we ended up taking the second room. The room was not clean, it smelled and bathroom was not clean. The tub/shower was badly Staind. We didn't use it.. we were very disappointed especially since it was a HILTON PROPERTY/ Days Inn. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I got in late in the evening, but check in was fairly fast. I'd pre-paid for two nights, and ended up staying one and walking away from my money for the second. The room was, to put it mildly, a mess. Food on the floor near the nightstand and in the bathroom, brown liquid on the wall, human waste on the toilet seat, oil stained sheets, burns in the covers, lighting fixtures loose, and wet towels in the bathroom. I WAS offered another room, however, I made a reservation elsewhere and slept in my own sleeping bag on the bed. The air conditioner worked very well, and a hotel staff member was quick to come view my concerns near midnight.

First and foremost the staff was very friendly and had no issues helping when I locked my key card in the room as soon as my husband and I arrived and they had no issues with letting us check in a little early. However, the cleanliness of the room was below subpar. The carpet was dirty, to the point that it didn’t even look like it had been vacuumed and the couch had a cover on it that was covered in some kind of pet hair, not sure if it was cat or dog but, we couldn’t even sit on it and I didn’t dare remove the cover to see what kind of condition the couch was in. The bed was clean and comfortable but, the paper thin cover that was on it, barely covered the entirety of the bed. The refrigerator/freezer didn’t work so there was no way to keep our drinks cold. Also, this is a hotel that people apparently live at and can rent by the week. Looked as if a lot of drug addicts live there but, there wasn’t too much noise or traffic. I wouldn’t suggest anyone stay here nor will we ever return.

Good place to stay. Planning to stay again in the future when to Aiken.

Evelyn was very helpful on check in. Location was difficult to get to.
