Paguro Villa

We loved staying at the Paguro Villa. The position is very near the beach and also the port. The room and the bathroom were spacious, and very clean. The food served is very good. The staff is friendly and always smiling. They were ready to help with any request/demand. We are very satisfied of the choice we made to stay in paguro Villa.

First and for most the staff is amazing. Mr Solomon, Ms Shafaq, Mr Aalim, the Captain and everyone in the kitchen made our trip memorable. We could hardly leave the place due to their kindness, the very good price-value proportion and thanks to the exciting excursions where we never felt bored. The beach is within 2 mins walk and we could always find empty sun beds although it was high season. The bikini beach is one of the longest in Ukulhas so you don't feel it crowded. Beyond the excursions you can find at the hotel's webpage you can ask for special trips or recommendations to suit your hunger for adventure. Eventhough we really wanted to swim with whale sharkes it wasn't their season so Mr Solomon instead of organizing an unsuccessfull trip and ask for our money he recommended other things. It's a rare thing in Europe to take care of the guests that much. We asked for half board service which was enough most of the days but it's worth having lunch in other restaurants if you come back from a half day snorkelling and can't wait until dinner. Despite the Maldives the goods in the shops are not overrated. I don't mind we didn't go to resort where we could see and buy the same only for triple price. Moreover you can meet and talk to the kind local people on this island. Almost everyone speaks English. I highly recommend the place for families, couples or single travellers as well. Our room was cleaned twice a day and when there was no water due to a pipe problem, I could use one off the empty room's bathroom in Paguro Beach Inn. I wish we could afford to come back every year but I hope we will meet someday in the future.

It was said to see the garbage on the shore which was left there by other tourists or came from the instructions. I would have used hair conditioner after swimming in the salt sea every day but other than that nothing to complain about.

I liked everything

Staff very helpful and friendly. They are trying their best every day to make your stay more comfortable. The location is perfect - 2 minutes away from the beach. Food was ok but more fruits and vegetables will be much appreciated. Fresh juices on the breakfast would be also nice. The chef changes menu every day. Unlimited drinking water, beach towels, sun beds (slightly uncomfortable).

You can hear every breath form the neighbors. Room furniture could be renewed.

The property was well organised and very well cared. The staff (housekeepers, waiters and receptionist) were extremely professional and guest oriented. Sir Solaman, the Manager is an exquisite person, he arranged our transfers by boat and welcomed us in person at the port on our arrival, furthermore he is always available to give valuable information and advice about things to do and place to visit. His Manta Safari was amazing.

Staff were amazing, they were so attentive and lovely. The best thing was the reusable glass bottles made available for guests, especially when you see the plastic ones all over the island. Request - lose the plastic straws and cotton buds as well please!
