"Lovely location & a cosy, bright stay."

8.0

Lovely and quiet, super dark in the evenings so perfect for star gazing. The bed was very comfortable. It was in a great location for going to various places and the woodland walks were practically straight out of the front door. It looked lovely too, very light and cosy. Hosts were really nice and lots of information in the welcome pack. Parking was very easy and the electric charging point was very helpful. Having the enclosed garden was very handy too, a must have! Tintern might have been our favourite local place. Really nice walk, the abbey ruins and some great pubs! We walked to Tintern which was hard but nice, and then we drove there one evening too and did the river walk, there’s an awesome old train station cafe that is definitely worth a visit. Great for kids and/or train nerds!

There is a full wall of windows/doors which lets a lot of light in but also a lot of heat, there are no blinds or curtains. We got back from a long sweaty walk and found it had got up to 25 degrees, luckily it’s fairly easy to cool by opening the doors, but I’m not sure how I’d have coped in summer. If you have a schnauzer or a reactive dog, the front door is full transparent glass with no curtain or blind, and people walk by the front door fairly often to get to the horses. There wasn’t much to make shift a blockade. We had to move the sofa and bins to the other wall of windows so he wouldn’t keep getting triggered at anyone that walked by. If you have a normal dog though it would be fine, but also would probably make one cautious of walking around with not many clothes on.

Extremely comfortable bed, wi fi good ,fan was useful with the very hot weather.

Wet room certainly was a wet room, bees or wasps on the patio was a little worrying .Could do with a larger tv.
