Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Frederick

Everything was good for the most part. We would have preferred a microwave oven in the room. The dresser drawers would continuously slide open about 6 inches making it somewhat hazardous. Also the ice machine was right outside our room which was a bit annoying when it was used late at night or early morning.

The young lady working the night shift was very patient very kind and extremely helpful. Just what a weary traveler needed after a long day on the road. Thank you

The room was clean.

Dysfunctional heat/ aircon. Dishonest staff- received contradictory info. I could write a book about what happened. Upon other lies, they double booked me even though I did not request it. They would not admit their errors and tried to blame me for their wrong doing. Additionally, Jordan, who worked at the front counter, was unbelievably rude. He should not be working with the public. I would avoid this hotel and try the other options across the street.

This hotel was under construction.

Stayed here while visiting friends in the area. The rooms were clean but smaller than some hotel rooms { if you had 4 people staying in our room it would be crowded} . Mattress was firmer than I like . Bathroom was clean. Tub had a decent grab bar unlike some other hotels where I have visited. They advertise an indoor pool but it was taken out and they are putting a lounge in which was disappointing as that is part of the reason I booked to stay here. { please update your website} Breakfast was good and offered many food selections both hot and cold. { waffles, eggs, sausage, muffins, cereal . etc] Staff was friendly and offered extra pillows for us to be more comfortable since all the beds were same mattress type and newly replaced. Hotel has close parking and is also close to highway but away from highway noise. If I had to stay in Frederick in the future , I guess I wouldnt rule out staying here as it was very clean, they had nice staff and good breakfast but will also consider other options due to mattresses being firmer.
