Hotel Paraiso del Oso

Loved this place. Hugo met us at the el Chepe train station easy to find with a sign and a large smile. Check in was seamless. A light lunch was prepared for us which was deliciou, just a preview of every meal here we had was super. Her soups are so flavorful. Could have asked for refills on each one but knew a big main dish was being served. So I waited and certainly was pleased. It happened to be my friends birthday so Hugo arranged for a birthday cake and music around the campfire! How wonderful and what fun celebrating with all others who were there. Sleeping was good, comfortable, quiet and dark. A wonderful place with great views from the inside courtyard. The second day we took a tiny bit strenuous hike up to the caves. The quiet of the woods. The peacefulness and the closeness was a great added bonus. The 2 resident dogs went from leading to following and off to exploring on their own.. but always came back to check on us. They added another element to our hike as we watched them play and rest with us. Be sure to ask about this hike. We took a great drive down into to canyon stopping in Urique and Guatemala ( i believe) . It is the vistas that you will see on the drive that you dont want to miss. Payment for rooms, meals drinks and tours are collected at the end of your stay. Was offered the option of credit card payment. Oh and they have a deep collections of books, hammocks which are available and there is a stack of board games to enjoy. .

Completamente recomendado si visitas Cericahui o Bahuichivo, es la mejor opción de la zona. Los anfitriones son muy amables y hospitalarios, el hotel es muy bonito, cerca de un cerro con una vista espectacular. Te permite un contacto muy cercano con la naturaleza. Tiene tours al. Mirador del Gallego y rutas de senderismo por la zona. Los precios son muy justos.

El servicio que brindan en el hotel te hace sentir en casa. Raúl y Jaime son excelentes guías durante cualquier recorrido! El hotel esta en excelentes condiciones y súper limpio! Las regaderas estan increíbles! Pasar dos o más noches ahi vale muchísimo la pena!

Hugo was very helpful and we had great service! To take trips to Urique, they arranged everything for us! Also to waterfalls and later to Creel. They could not be more attentive to detail. Meals were great at the hotel. It was rustic, western, but very clean. We were very happy with our stay there. Hugo spoke English which was most helpful. I would recommend any to stay. Vans well kept.

Un hotel con atencion excelente, toda su gente muy amable. Te hacen sentir de la familia, palomitas gratis junto a la chimenea. En Diciembre puedes ayudar a organizar la posada para comunidades tarahumaras lo que de cierto modo te convierte en voluntario y ayudas un poquito a comunidades necesitadas. Aparte esta cerca de Urique, Cerocahui, el equipo d etrabajo del hotel te apoyan para poder conocer zonas aledanias... un hotel para desconectarse un poco de tanto ruido
