It was a lot cleaner and friendlier than the big name motels, the pool was empty and out of service, I was looking forward to the pool with the brutal heat we’ve been enduring this summer, but other than that I highly recommend
TINY room would have been helped by not having a tall, full-sized dresser, a lean against the wall mirror (that you knocked over if you opened a dresser drawer), and a chair that blocked access to the right side of the bed. The water wouldn’t come on enough to take a shower. Music played through a speaker right outside our window beside the bed all night long. I think they are trying and the lady at check-in was very friendly, but they need to put some thought into practicality and get repairs finished if they want people to be satisfied. Beautiful view off front porch!
Came here 2 years ago and was great. Now is ok. Room is clean. They were having water issues and the pool was closed.
This is an older motel that when speaking with the lady at the desk said was just acquired by a new owner last fall. They have done a lot of work to the rooms and exterior of the building with all new everything in the rooms. It is an older place but it being brought up to modern standards and amenities. They are still in the process of getting their vintage sign restored and a few exterior upgrades but I would highly recommend. Has the potential to be one of the nicest motels in the Luray area.
USThey canceled my stay while I was on vacation before I could arrive. The rooms were not done being remodeled and we could not stay. I would never have booked this if I was told of this possibility.
The property was secluded from everyone else
It was cheap, clean and no frills. Exactly what we were looking for to go hiking for the weekend.

Both the highway and the air conditioner are noisy. I found a hair in the towel and an ant under the pillow. The towel rack falls apart as soon as I touch it. No restaurant or convenience store nearby.
