The room was big and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was disappointing, only one rasher of bacon.
The old school house is a convenient location right next ro the motorway. The bungalow is a bit soulless and needs some homely touches. The kitchen amenties are poor having 2 small cups , 2 dishes . Wouod have bee nice to mugs, wine glasses , teatowel , small milk in the fridge etc. The beds are realky comfy .Breakfast was nice but you had to ask for alot of items and a menu on the table would be helpful.
I stayed here for 3 nights in their disabled access room. I arrived very late due to my flight being delayed and they were very accommodating. So long as you speak to them, I have no doubt that suitable arrangements for late check in can be arranged. They were very helpful and friendly to me. Breakfast was nice and freshly cooked and I ate in the coffee shop on my last day for lunch and that was nice too. The only issue may be the fact that the accommodation is right next to the M74 which is a busy road, and in summer with windows open it is likely that you could hear a lot of road noise.

Room was clean and large , and had a good night sleep . Locally theirs a hotel nearby that does food if you want somewhere near motorway to sleep this is the place . Unfortunately I’m gluten free and their was nothing suitable for breakfast for me , was a tad disappointed when I needed an iron for my dress which I couldn’t use the trouser press for to be told it wouldn’t be brought to the room for nothing to materialise before it was check out time . If a break from driving is needed stay here however if looking for that little extra I wouldn’t choose here sadly
The guest house is close to the M74 but it really doesn’t affect your stay. The staff are very friendly and the cooked breakfast is divine. It’s only 30 minutes from Glasgow and was ideally placed for my trip.
