Nordic Host - Tollbugata 13

Great location - perfect for everything. Spacious apartment in quiet area. Very responsive owner - literally called me within a few minutes of my emailing with a problem. Could easily have gotten a much higher score if not for the mounting niggles.

All relatively small stuff, but together this felt like an unloved apartment. I gather that the apartment is looked after by a manager in the building so not sure why some basic stuff seemed missing. - The somewhat irritating Treasure hunt approach to getting the key. The messiest arrangement and timings I have ever encountered. They worked, but were unnecessarily complicated. - The shower drains so slowly that the bathroom floods every time you take a shower. Mopping up the floor after a shower isn't great. - The lack of instructions for the washer/dryer (and putting instruction booklets on the top shelf of the cupboard so that you had to look for them from the stairs - only a giant could reach) - No welcome pack with information about the local area or issues around the apartment management - the first time I have ever stayed in an apartment without a welcome pack (and with missing instructions) - Broken dishwasher. Or according to the host one that neither we nor the previous guest could fathom. We inherited a load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher and despite many attempts, could not get it to work. Our question was, why didn't the cleaner sort it before we arrived? - smashed wine glass put back in the cupboard - Poor lighting on the mezzanine - hard to put stuff away

Location perfect, facilities OK.

Dirty,dirty and so dirty. Bad smell, like rancid oil when you come inside. We found full dishing machine with dirty dishes. Bed sheets had also some very bad smell.Lower sheet was full of some stain-spots. In such flat we couldn’t eat anything. Fridge seemed that wasn’t cleaned for a months. Carpets were not vacuumed and were full of hair and crumbs. Very dirty overall!
