Palazzo Montalbano

Room photo does not reflect current decoration — instead of two chairs in the corner, there’s a working grand piano. What else do you need to know? (Staff were wonderful, it’s a 4-minute walk to gelato, and if you want to book this room, the one with the green wallpaper and chandelier, it’s the Deluxe Double.) The mattress was a little creaky. That’s my only complaint.

Ideal location in a beautiful small town. Parking fine, facilities good. The kitchen is not really functional but beautiful surroundings.

Best stay on our tour, staff so very kind and upgraded us. I felt like a queen staying in a palace. Perfect location for walking around the town, quiet.

Een balkamer met piano, schitterende locatie en zeer centraal. Zeer smaakvol ingericht. Gratis parkeren voor de deur. Soepel inchecken, heel fijn ontbijt bij een ander palazzo op paar minuten loopafstand. Het mooiste logeeradres voor een redelijke prijs in Sicilie. Zou er wel een week willen blijven. Je voelt je de koning te rijk.

Déception à l'arrivée, le palace n'était pas du tout ce que nous avions imaginé. Le lit était très mou, donc deux mauvaises nuit. La decoration du soi-disant Palace était très éclectique et pas du tout de bon goût. Pour le petit-déjeuner nous avons du le prendre à l'extérieur dans un palace qui pour le coup portait bien son nom, nous aurions préféré celui-là !!! Attention, en pleine saison la plupart des chambres doivent êtres très bruyantes de par l'activité nocturne de la ville.

Lovely old hotel with a lot of character. We were only there for one night but had a good night’s sleep. We were late to check in but there was good communication with the representative who very kindly waited for us (for a fee for late check in after 8pm). They were also very kind and allowed us to leave our suitcases at their office for the day whilst we e loved Scicli which was and chanting little town.
