Days Inn by Wyndham Ozark Springfield

The location.

We checked into the hotel about 3:30 . believing this would give us time to get ready to meet up with our family, as planned, at 5:15 pm. When we opened the door to the room, the beds were unmade, and the room dirty. A housekeeper followed us in, asked us if that was our room, and told us he has just stripped the beds, and hadn't cleaned the room. After explaining several times that we had just checked in, the housekeeper finally comprehended that we needed to be able to get into the room, so that we could continue with our plans. We ended up waiting almost 45 minutes while him and another housekeeper cleaned the room. This made us have to rush to leave. Once we returned later that evening, a little after 9 pm, we decided to check out the pool and hot tub, only to find it closed ( supposed to be open until 10 pm). We decided to return to our room. & watch TV. Once inside we realized the beds, which were supposed to be 2 queensize beds, were 2 full-size beds instead. The next morning we went downstairs. The pool, which was to open at 9 am, was still closed. The free breakfast options, wasone kind of dry cereal ( there was no milk) and two brown bananas. We have stayed at this motel a few times in the past without any issues. We will not be staying there in the future.

It was quiet. The water was hot. The location was accessible and close to where we needed to be.

There wasn't a breakfast really. There was one type of cereal- something colorful and sugary, one option for milk, a loaf of white bread, a toaster and a tub of margarine. They didn't make the beds or replace towels. We had to go to the front desk twice to ask for wash clothes and toilet paper. The room smelled fine but there was a strong odor in the hallway. The parking lot was not well lit- very dark and sketchy.

The employees were exceptional. I asked for extra blanket and employee was checking in other guest and delivered blanket to my room.

Pillows were the worst’s, rooms dated but clean

Breakfast was basic cereal or toast

The staff qas nice. The door to our room would not open. No coffee pot. TV wouldnt turn on. Microwave did not work. Advertised free breakfast and all they had was peanutbutter & jelly crackers and baby muffins.
