The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery

Good location but rooms with old carpets.

Lot of items such as ice machine and peleton bike were broken down. Tub in shower wouldn't drain properly and there was a unique odor in the hallways.

Nice old hotel. Only negative - There was no coffee in the room and the lobby coffee shop did not open until 7:30am

Clean rooms, so many shops nearby, dining and drinks available at the hotel. Accommodating staff and centrally located.

Classic New Orleans building with state of the art amenities.

A very pleasant stay with a great staff and extra comfy beds.

They don’t serve code till 7:30am. Rude staff. Poor rooms

Unique vibe and very friendly staff

In the first room, huge dust bunnies around the base of the bed, with lots previous tenant's hair. While off-putting, not a deal breaker. Pulling back the sheet, the mattress (no mattress cover) was speckled with blood, a sign of bedbugs. We reported it to a very efficient front desk, who came up with engineering to see for themselves. The front desk person audibly gasped when she saw the state of the room. We moved to a second room. It warranted a close look, where we found blood signs at the base of the headboard. They graciously allowed us to cancel the reservation and we stayed in another hotel. To be clear, every hotel (at every star level) battles bedbugs. My advice is to make sure you check for them in whatever location you choose.
