Hampton Inn Wichita-East

Easy checkin and comfortable room.

Hotel is slightly outdated however they are going through a renovation and there is quite a few site boxes in the parking lot and few boxes around the vending areas due to shortage of storage (i asked) which does not make it the prettiest to look at although it did not impact our stay. Our stay was quick and quiet. Staff is very nice and accommodating, more so than some hotels I've been too. Once this renovation is complete this hotel will be my number one choice when visiting Wichita.

I’ve stayed at many Hampton Inns in my travels. They are very consistent. This location is in tough shape. It appears a remodel may be happening. Can’t come soon enough.

I didn't like the fact we were not told they charge 50 dollars for a deposit. Even when check in they said nothing.

The people were kind, but there were boxes all around the pool area. It was nothing like the pictures. Outside, there were shipping crates all over the parking lot, and many people were laying around the property. I’m. Not sure what their purpose was, but it felt like we had to be extra cautious

Terrible service. Booked and paid for room through hotels.com. When checking in was told there's additional fees that need to be paid for. Management took care of that. Walking to the room carpet had multiple wrinkles with no padding under carpet. Bathroom door needs work as it barely closes. Multiple electrical outlets in the room didn't work. Indoor swimming pool had heater running in middle of summer, water temp was 91 degrees felt disgusting. Looking out the back door of the pool area over grown weeds had taken over. Beds were not comfortable and pillows lacked support. Continental breakfast was terrible, sausage was burnt. Upon checking out they stated that even more money was due

This hotel was near to the airport outskirts where airplanes are stored and worked on, not near the public areas, but I did not hear any air traffic sounds, so it didn't disturb my sleep. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The location was decent, near residential areas. It was about 2 miles from retail and restaurants, which is okay, maybe not ideal, but not that big of a deal. Interior was pretty nice, looked like it was being taken care of.
