Fairfield Inn by Marriott Evansville East

The young man alone when we checked in with 2 earrings in his ears was extremely pleasant and willing to go the extra mile to make sure guests issues were being address and there were so many of them and only 1 of him.

Upon arrival the outside property was dirty, not picked up of garbage and the rugs and floors at immediate entry and throughout checkin and eating area was dirty. It did not set a good impression and what you immediately see sets the tone. Then when we arrived in our room there were cobwebs all around the ceiling where the wall and ceiling met. There was hair on floor, toilet and in the shower. In the Shower there was also dried on shampoo/soap still hardened on the shower walls. I ended up vacuuming the floor and getting cobwebs down myself because the poor guy at the front was dealing with many other guests complaining about the same issues...rooms not being cleaned and prepared appropriately for the guests. He later came in on his own and cleaned our shower for us. We thanked him a lot. I am actually disappointed a discount wasn't offered due to the facility was not maintained as it said it would be. It costs a lot to stay at a hotel and although the staff I did talk to with my issues were nice unfortunately due to the cleanliness of our room and the entire facility we will most likely never stay at this hotel again. What's really sad as I chose this hotel because it had high ratings but what I saw didnt match those ratings. Hallways were all dirty and unclean and it smelled of marijuana upon arrival in the mail entrance.

They are very nice people and the actually keep it very clean.
